That is right! All you need to make this yummy meal is:

3-4 lb. rump or beef tip roast

A French Onion soup dry package

A beer (I prefer light beer, but you can use any type of beer you like the taste of)

That is it! Spray your crock pot down with cooking spray, and place the roast in the crock pot. Cover the roast with the dry soup package and then pour the beer over the whole thing. Place the lid on the pot and set it for LOW for 8 hours!

The only “work” you have to do for this, is after the roast has finished cooking the 8 hours. You will then pull it out of the crock pot (keeping the liquid) and shred the meat on a cutting board. After all the meat has been shredded, and this should be super easy to do because it should just fall apart for you, add it back into the crock pot to soak up the beer and onion soup flavoring!

After a few extra minutes of soaking up the juices, I set out some potato rolls (or whatever type of sandwich rolls you wish to use) on a baking pan. I add the meat onto one side of the sandwich and I add a slice of pepperjack cheese on the other side. You can simply broil the sandwich in the oven for a minute or two, just enough time to melt the cheese. I also like to saute some onion to go on my sandwich. And there you have it! Simple, yummy sandwiches with wonderful flavoring!

Craving some delicious melt in your mouth pot roast? Have a hankering for some good ‘ol stick to your ribs comfort food? But you’re so tired you say, no time to monkey around with all kinds of spices and cutting up add-ins… well I have the solution for you.

We have tried dozens of ideas and recipes for pot roasts and this one by far has the best flavor and has only 1 easy to use seasoning. If you can setup your slow cooker and put the roast in it, you’re already 75% done. It’s that simple.

Ingredients:

1- good size roast, whatever suits your fancy or fits in your slow cooker. For this example I tossed in a 4 pound rump roast, but we’ve done anything 2-4 pounds, from chuck arm to brisket.

1- packet of onion soup mix (or two if you want more intense flavor)

2-4 cups of water.

It’s that simple.

Optional: Any veggies or such you want to go with it. In this example I took a small bag of frozen stew veggies and tossed it in for our side dish.

Instructions:
1. Setup your slow cooker as per manufacturers instructions.

2. Open up the package of the roast and plop it in the slow cooker.

3. Open the onion soup mix and dump it on top.

4. Pour the water on top, it will dissolve the soup mix as you do. We recommend putting enough water in to get at least 75% of the roast underwater, this will make sure the moisture and seasoning stays in the roast.

5. Put the lid on, set it on low and wait about 6-8 hours. We usually put it on low as we go to work and come home to a yummy ready to eat dinner.

Enjoy!
